Overview
Greenbelt Property Solutions, LLC ("Greenbelt," "we," "our") respects the privacy of the landowners who contact us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can control it.
The short version: we only collect what is necessary to evaluate a parcel and send you a cash offer. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
Information we collect
When you request an offer or use this website, we may collect:
- Contact information you provide — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Property information you provide — parcel address, APN, acreage, and any details you share about ownership, liens, or reason for sale.
- Publicly available records we pull to underwrite the offer — county assessor data, recorded deeds, tax records, and recorded comparable sales.
- Technical data collected automatically — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL, used solely to keep the site secure and improve usability.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account details, or any other sensitive financial information during the offer-request stage. Those details — if applicable — are collected only at closing, through a licensed title company, under separate written agreement.
How we use information
We use the information above solely to:
- Evaluate your parcel and prepare a written cash offer.
- Contact you by email or phone about your offer and, if accepted, coordinate closing.
- Maintain records required by state real-estate, tax, and anti-money-laundering law.
- Operate and secure this website.
We do not use your information for marketing unrelated to your submitted parcel. If you ask us not to contact you again, we will stop — and keep only the records we are legally required to retain.
How long we keep it
Offer submissions that do not result in a closed transaction are retained for 24 months, then deleted from our active systems. Records related to closed transactions are retained for seven (7) years to comply with IRS, state, and federal real-estate-record requirements.
You may ask us to delete your submission early by emailing legal@greenbeltland.com. We will comply within 30 days unless we are required by law to retain the record.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of information, subject to legal-retention obligations.
- Opt out of any future contact.
- Request portability of your information in a machine-readable format.
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), and other states with similar statutes have additional rights. To exercise any of these rights, email legal@greenbeltland.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.
Security
Information you submit is transmitted over TLS and stored on encrypted servers in the United States. Access is limited to Greenbelt employees and contractors who need it to do their jobs, under written confidentiality obligations.
No system is perfectly secure. We will notify you promptly if a breach affects your personal information, consistent with applicable breach-notification laws.
Children
This site is intended for adult landowners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, email legal@greenbeltland.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for 30 days before they take effect.
